You may recognize Jacob Givens as the ‘first time hearing (insert 90s band) guy’ from his social media videos that are shared by millions of people around the world, but Jacob is also a graduate of the University of Illinois in 2001. Since leaving the Midwest nearly two decades ago, Jacob has resided in Los Angeles where he has pursued his love of comedy, writing and acting in the entertainment industry. It wasn’t until combining his passion for music with humor in short form videos on TikTok / Instagram that his life completely transformed and led him to collaborating with some of his favorite bands like The Smashing Pumpkins and Sigur Rós.  This is Jacob’s first time returning to Champaign-Urbana since his graduation, and he is thrillled to attend the 20th anniversary of PYGMALION!
