Born, raised and continues to reside in El Paso, Texas- Jim Ward co-founded the post-punk band At the Drive-In in 1994 at 17 years old and began a journey that continues to this day- lots of touring, recording and exploring with ATDI and then Sparta- with a short dip into folkier waters with solo and Sleeprcar albums and touring. Ward has been part of numerous El Paso ventures including cafes and venues and sits on the board of The El Paso Community Foundation. During the lockdown created by COVID 19 – Jim Ward began Friday Beers, a weekly Instagram Live show featuring a 30-45 minute chat with various guests from politics, music, sports and literature.
