In this free community event, all ages are welcome to learn and interact with new research in materials science from researchers at Beckman Institute! The interdisciplinary collaborations at Beckman lead to new, cleaner, and more energy-efficient materials of the future. Interactive demos will include:

• a chemical version of dominoes that requires a small amount of energy to get going and converts a container of liquid monomer into a rigid polymer
• liquids that behave in ways that seem more like solids
• 3-D printed materials
