Nina King Sannes is an MFA fiction candidate at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Her fiction explores the beauties and horrors of womanhood and contains themes emerging from her background in agriculture and her upbringing in the rural South. Her work has previously appeared in EPOCH magazine and has been awarded the Josephine M. Bresee Memorial Award and the Charles and Susan Shattuck Prize for short fiction.
