Decapitation in the Food Court is an emo band from Champaign, IL. Freely mixing eclectic styles such as metal, electronica, and psychedelia with anthemic climaxes and frequent sampling, they forgo any sense of consistency to create a uniquely overwhelming sound. After making the rounds on the Urbana house circuit last year, they plan to release their first full-length album in the fall. The band consists of Max Knutson on rhythm guitar and vocals, Leah Tritibaugh on bass and vocals, Evan Sekiguchi on lead guitar, Evan Blad on keys, and Julian Brookfield on drums.
